Margo Rey - Habit
Margo Rey (also known as Margo Reymundo, or simply Margo) has become known in a certain part of the indie music scene and for a good reason. She has a strong voice that can smoothly deliver any genre she decides to tackle. Her early beginnings in the electronic group Evolve show her talent with downtempo, almost trance-like music. Her debut album, My Heart’s Desire, shows how she can beautifully create acoustic and rock tunes. The dance remixes of her two singles “Get Back” and “Habit” show how perfectly her voice fits club music. When I received her second album, “Habit”, I knew I was in for a treat! The album starts off with the title track, “Habit”. This album version is a slow moving alternative song with elements of country music. It’s certainly a nice take on the song, but nothing compares to the glorious remixes by Tracy Young, Mike Bordes, and Klubjumpers that hit the clubs back in 2010! This song was destined to be a club banger, and while I am happy to hear the original
