Roxanna - Unforgotten


From the second I first listened to Roxanna's debut single "Unforgotten" I knew I had stumbled upon something special. With a voice that can send shivers down your spine, Roxanna has really created a work of art. In its original version, the song is a latin-influenced power ballad of sorts. I can hear myself on a carribean cruise with a tropical drink in a coconut cup in hand, just feeling the breeze and enjoying life. Lyrically it's about a failed relationship, but somehow "Unforgotten" has a feeling of happiness. Perhaps, it's the concept of never forgetting the love and how joyful it was at its peak.

The original version, however, is not as good as it gets. There is also a Dance Remix of "Unforgotten" where the song truly comes to life. This one is an absolute smash! Roxanna's voice stands out even more with the support of synths and a gorgeous dance beat, and "Unforgotten" becomes a tune you'll never forget. If Roxanna really wanted to be heard, she'd hit up Cat Music Office or Roton because the Dance Remix of "Unforgotten" would fit in perfectly with their catalog (she'd have the support of a hot label and good promo in Romania, where this kind of dance music is most popular).

We are definitely looking forward to Roxanna's upcoming releases! I pray she sticks with the dance sound, at least as an alternate version to each song. Below are some links to Roxanna around the web!
