Guess what? I got to interview Kristine W! AMAZING, RIGHT?! I was super excited, and now I'm excited to share the interview with you! Here it is!

- What inspired you to name your album “The Power Of Music”?
Kristine: I’ve witnessed the power that music has to bring people together and to bring joy into people’s lives so it felt like the right title at the right time.
- Which track from the album would you say is the most personal one to you?
Kristine: They all have a lot of meaning to me because they’ve developed over time so they are all like my babies. At the moment, “Be Alright” is connecting with everyone a lot right now. “Be Alright” feels like it was written for what is happening right now even though I wrote it 3 years ago. I try to be optimistic in my personal philosophy and how I live my life and I have seen the power of optimism – it can change lives. Negativity never helps any situation.
- If you had to describe the album in just three words, what would they be?
Kristine: Thought-provoking, empowering and diverse.
- You worked with Love To Infinity a lot on 'The Power Of Music'. Do you plan to work with them more in the future?
Kristine: Yes – they are a great producers and a great group of people as well.
- Tell me about your Jazz/Chill album, 'Straight Up With A Twist'. When will we be hearing that?
Kristine: I have taken some of my own previous hits (such as Stronger), some songs I have written but not released yet and some of my favorite classic songs from other artists (such as Stairway to Heaven) and I went into the studio with some amazing jazz musicians and put a new spin on the songs. I am also finishing up the chill/lounge versions of the songs.
- There seems to be a mystery behind the remixes for your song Don't Wanna Think. Will those ever be released?
Kristine: Yes, I am sure at some point that will happen. I plan on releasing quite a few remixes and updating some of my songs from the past – stay tuned for details on that. - What songs are you considering for your next single from 'The Power Of Music'?
Kristine: The title cut - “The Power of Music” will likely be next – aiming for a fall release. I am getting feedback now from various industry people I trust so we’ll make a collective decision and go from there and make a plan for 2010.
- Last question, is there anything you would like to say to your fans who read this interview?
Kristine: I really appreciate their support. It has been so fun to see everyone at the summer shows and see their reaction to the songs off the new album. I enjoy reading the fun comments, suggestions and encouragement from my fans on my social networking sites. It’s been an exciting summer with more to come. I have put the power out to the people through my music so I hope they grab it and run with it – LOL.
